Our story began in 2009 when we met at the University of Florida (Go Gators!). After getting married, we moved to North Carolina for graduate school and began dreaming about what it would look like if we stayed. Ten years, three incredible children, and the world's best dog later we feel lucky to call Western North Carolina home. We enjoy all the outdoor activities this area has to offer, and can usually be found on a hike or playing in a river. We feel closest to God surrounded by nature and love sharing the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains with others. Our passion for hospitality led us to open our first vacation rental in 2021. We have learned so much and been blessed by the guests we've hosted since then. 
 
So why "kindling"? We design each home with the intention of kindling new or renewed relationships. Whether it's a family reunion, a getaway with friends, or a retreat immersed in Creation, we hope our home provides the spark for lifelong memories.
